Aurelian Order
Organizational Performance
What does Aurelian Consulting do on organizational performance?
Aurelian Consulting examines why an organisation performs the way it does, through structure, decision rights, incentives and information, and advises on the few changes that would move it. Performance problems are usually decision problems in disguise: the wrong people decide, the right people decide too late, or nobody can see the number that matters until it is history. Aurelian Consulting works with boards and executive teams to diagnose organisational performance at that level and to recommend changes to structure, accountability, incentives and information flow that are few enough to actually happen.
Diagnosis of structure, decision rights, incentives and information flow. Accountability design for executive teams and boards. Performance measures that lead rather than lag. A short list of changes, sequenced, with the consequences of each.
No success fees. No outsourced executive authority. No confidentiality compromises.

Restoration, Not Expansion
Aurelian takes its name from Emperor Aurelian, whose reign was defined not by expansion but by restoration: the re-consolidation of fragmented systems and the stabilisation of institutions under pressure.
That is the posture the practice brings to a company under strain: coherence first, then growth.
Our Practices
Two practices, each available in every market we serve.
Practice
Corporate Advisory & Consulting
Aurelian Consulting provides independent corporate advisory for boards, founders and executive teams facing decisions where the margin for error is narrow. We examine the question actually being decided, the constraints around it and the second-order effects, so leaders commit with clarity rather than urgency.
Practice
Capital Raising Financial Restructuring & Corporate Consulting
Aurelian Consulting advises companies raising capital, restructuring their finances or resetting their corporate direction. We work alongside founders, boards and lenders to frame the real options, test the assumptions behind each one and prepare the position before the market, the bank or the counterparty is approached.
Questions about Organizational Performance
Is this an operational efficiency program?
No. Efficiency programs cut cost inside the current design. We examine whether the design itself is producing the performance you see.
Do you assess individual executives?
We assess roles, decision rights and accountability. Where an individual question arises we say so privately to the board or the principal, in writing.
What does the engagement produce?
A written diagnosis and a sequenced set of recommendations the board can adopt, adapt or reject, each with its expected consequences.

Doctrine
Framing the Decision
Matters brought to the Order are framed before they are assessed. Framing establishes the boundary of the decision: what is being decided, what is not, and where responsibility ultimately sits.
Facts are separated from assumptions. Constraints are identified as structural, behavioural or temporal. The Order does not rush toward answers; it ensures the question itself is correctly formed. Most failures of insight begin here.
Our Guiding Principles
The Aurelian Order is grounded in discretion, integrity and trust. We operate with loyalty to those we serve and empathy for the human realities behind complex decisions. Strength comes from collective judgement, drawing on deep knowledge, hard-earned experience and a trusted network built over time.
Clarity before commitment
The decision is defined in writing before any advice is given.
Consequence before convenience
Second-order effects are examined even when the first-order answer is obvious.
Independence before narrative
No success fees, no placements, no interest in the outcome beyond its soundness.
Discretion as a default
Engagements are confidential from the first conversation.
What We Do Not Do
Selective Engagement
We do not accept every enquiry; the Order determines which matters warrant collective counsel.
Beyond Conventional Advice
We do not engage on matters within the competence of conventional advisers, financial institutions or standard solutions.
No Advisory Competition
We do not compete with consulting firms or advisers; we convene only when rare, collective expertise is required.
No Ongoing Mandates
We do not provide ongoing advisory or execution services; counsel is focused, independent and deliberate.
